Well well.... well

Courtenay Plumbing were out in force today attempting to connect our well. Unfortunately the pipe simply wouldn’t co-operate and we will need to use a string to pull a rope through the underground conduit, and then use that rope to pull through a chain and then use the chain to pull whatever until we finally get to pull the pipe. It seems that the conduit has a sharper bend in it than one might hope. Sigh.

We also attempted to hook up the last parts ofthe chimney pipe for the fireplace but the weather managed to interfere and it was simply unsafe to work up on the roof to install the chimney cap. Which left us with a hole in the roof and rain coming down. I found a solution though - an old umbrella! We pushed it up through the hole, pressed the open button and strapped said umbrella down inside the roof. It looks silly but it works.
