Mirror, mirror

We have visitors coming to stay soon and since we’ve had the mirror glass sitting around for several week I thought I should get them built.
We wanted something a bit different to the usual commercial mirror frames and decided on Fir rails for thetop and bottom and black profiles similar to the tile edging for the stiles. I tried some experiments with scraps of the actual aluminium extrusions used for tile trim but they didn’t provide enough ‘meat’ to support the mirror adequately. So, off to the monster saw to create lengths of Poplar with a suitable profile-

Cutting the profile angle - sacrificial fence and assorted supports to avoid sacrificing fingers.
It took a while to get it done safely but when assembled and mounted they look like this -
