Shower doors

As a sort of birthday present last week I picked up a rather nice shower door unit to replace the very temporary rod and curtain we’ve been living with. Although it is sold as having a chrome finish, Bridget worked out some years ago that carefully rubbing down a chromed bathroom fitting tended to produce something that matches brushed nickel pretty well, so I spent a few hours ‘brushing’ all the parts. There wasn’t anything terribly complex about installing it except for organising some extra muscles to lift the heavy glass slab door.
