Lights!

I had to hit Nanaimo to fetch a rental drum-sander to start work on the flooring laid so far and took the opportunity to pick up some of the light fittings we need. We’ve run out of material for the flooring so it seems sensible to spend the wait for more stock in sanding what is already down. At least that way we get useful work done continuously. The drum sander is a bit scary; very aggressive and quite determined to pull you across the floor.
I picked up light fittings from Mclaren Lighting to try out around the house. We’re going to try assembling what we want from some standard components for the main lights that have to attach above the beams in the kitchen and mudroom since there simply aren’t any ready made units I can discover. Everything seemed to look good except for the ‘schoolhouse’ style light for the hallway which was way too small.
