More kitchen stuff

After a lot of careful work on the kitchen worktops for the sink and still more for the pantry sink, I finally got the whole lot installed and ready for a final visit by the plumbing guys.
The pantry sink required a normal chunk of worktop with a normal hole in it. The kitchen sink fitting has been a bit more complex since we have a laminate top and an undermount sink, a combination that normally isn’t done. To make it work you have to cut the substrate of the top to allow it to fit around the sink to a suitable depth but maintain an inset for the laminate. Then some tricky work with epoxy produces a solid layer of waterproof material that lets you fake solid surface material like Corian or granite etc. For details see Fine Homebuilding June/July 2004 pp. 64-67
