Power and paint

Now that the drywall is all done we can get started on painting the walls and so it goes -

With the drywall all evenly coated it makes things much cleaner looking since you don’t see all the areas of mudding. We are, apparently, likely to use some 75 gallons of paint for the prime, first and final coats. Ouch.

Another visit from Chris the sparky got our heating systems powered up and the house end of the well system wired; it was raining a bit hard to be wiring outside in water filled conduits so the other end of the well power will have to wait till next week. With power to the fireplace and an installed thermostat we can now heat with gas. Ken & co will be by soon to test the heatpump - the good news for that is that the temperatures have improved and the heatpump will have some chance of working efficiently.

Lumber has now arrived so I can start on the kitchen cabinets soon.
